I was truly hesitant to buy these online after reading all the reviews, so I went locally and tried on all forms of Asics, but none of them fit like the cumulus I'm used to (17). So after trying on pair after pair, I saw the few that looked similar and based on reviews here, went up the half size. My feet were swimming in them, even with the narrow toe box. So once I decided once and for all to just take a chance and order online, I bought my normal size, and they fit fine. I do think it has to do with my foot shape though that I didn't have issues with the toe area. My feet have a sharply angled shape at the toes that is almost identical to the shape of the shoe, so I'm thinking if I had a more straight across shape, it would have fit differently. Anyway, no major complaints, I do wish there was a bit more padding at the front of the shoe where my toes are( on the bottom), but aside from that, they've already finished their first 5k a week after getting them.
